Inner Fairytale
This spring Senior Capstone collection was inspired by vintage fairytales, as well as the concept of the inner child and my own happy childhood. I was inspired by my own memories of fairytales and how they made me feel, how I wanted to live in that mystical and magical world. I want my collection to evoke that nostalgia, that inner child in us that longs for whimsy and fantasy. This collection consists of airy sheer fabrics contrasted against solid and printed fabrics.. The color palette has earthy and vintage-esque hues. Within the collection, there are whimsical pieces, like capes, created in a modern and wearable way The consumer will appreciate what are considered traditionally feminine designs and features, but in a funkier, more playful style.

Look 1: Oversized peter pan collar with matching shirt paired a pleated skirt with a yoke.
Look 2: Blouse with with woven bustier worn with shorts featuring a lace cutout.
Look 3: Reversible hood and cape with bow closure over a simple dress with lace at the bottom.
Look 4: Sheer shirt with bow under a ruffled tank-top with long shorts.
Look 5: Off the shoulder dress that is form fitting and then tapers towards the bottom with lace underneath
Look 6: Apron style over dress with cap sleeved, gathered dress underneath. Made up of original print fabric.
